In Loving Memory of Nathan Oliver Holden
Nathan Oliver Holden, age 41, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2024. Born on May 31, 1983, in Ithaca, New York. Nathan was the beloved son of Jeffrey and Vicki Holden.
Nathan was a devoted father to his two daughters, Vita (8) and Evie (4), whom he loved deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. He co-parented with his best friend and former spouse, Kelsey Holden, creating a supportive and loving environment for his girls. Nathan’s love for them was immeasurable, and his presence will forever be a guiding light in their lives.
He was also a loving grandson to Joan and Bud Holden and stepbrother to Tyler. His family was the heart of his world, and his spirit will live on in the memories they hold dear.
To his family, friends, colleagues and anyone he came across, Nathan was a good soul—an endlessly generous, adventurous, and kind-hearted man. He was the friend who would give the shirt off his back, always ready to lend a helping hand. As a father, Nathan taught his children to explore, solve problems, and embrace life’s adventures with joy and curiosity. His uncles, Joel and Jim Holden, and aunt, Karen Holden, adored following his many adventures, which reflected his boundless curiosity and drive to discover the world around him.
From a young age, Nathan was fascinated by how things worked. As a toddler, he could be found taking apart kitchen appliances, not necessarily with the goal of putting them back together but simply to understand their inner workings. As he grew older, his curiosity evolved into a sharp mind for technology. A self-taught computer wizard, Nathan’s talents caught the attention of others before he even reached his teenage years. His inquisitive nature and passion for problem-solving extended into his professional life as a dedicated employee of Renaissance Services for the past eight years, where he contributed innovative ideas and products that helped the business grow and reach new markets.
Nathan was one of a kind—a true original—and his absence leaves a void that will never be filled. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, especially by his family, friends, and most of all, his daughters, Vita and Evie.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Nathan’s life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, located at 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, MI 48170 from 1-3pm. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Nathan’s memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to an educational fund for Nathan’s daughters, Evie and Vita, to support their future endeavors.
“I love you to the nearest black hole and back and we stay there together forever, in the whole universe!”
