Nancy Rhodes Remick, born November 18, 1930 in Ann Arbor to parents, Byard & Mary Ross, passed away peacefully at the Angela Hospice Care Center in Livonia on November 3, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Chauncey Edward Rhodes & the late Richard E. Remick. Loving mother of Sandra (Gary) Luoma, Kathleen (Irv) Mahoney, Debra (Leo) Magee, Sheryl (Joe) Frisch and the late Robert Edward Rhodes. Proud grandmother of Jason (Megan) Luoma, Amy Luoma, Jamie (Gina) Luoma, Alexander Magee, Andrew Magee, Sean Kiemele, Ryan Kiemele, Katlyn Kiemele, Robert Rhodes Jr, Heather Waite and Justin Rhodes. Great grandmother of 6. Loving aunt of David (Bobbi) Mata & Kenneth Mata.
Nancy devoted herself to God, family and helping others in need. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, Nancy taught Sunday school and many Bible Study Groups. Nancy had a love for music and the performing arts. From attending the opera on a regular basis, and attending the Stratford Festival in Ontario, Canada to singing in the Redford United Choir. Nancy was often seen volunteering her time at the First United Methodist Church and at Schoolcraft College where she volunteered for over 21 years. Nancy also volunteered as a tour guide at the Plymouth Museum. After her retirement as a Mortgage Banker, Nancy was able to enjoy her garden, knitting, crocheting, hiking and walking, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Thursday, November 8th from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday, November 9th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, 45201 North Territorial Road, Plymouth. Following the funeral service, there will be a luncheon held at the Church.
