Mildred Marie Ash passed away at Livonia Wood Nursing Home on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the age of 99. Mildred was born on the family farm in the Six Mile - Haggerty area of Livonia, the daughter of William and Hulda Ash. She had worked for Burroughs Corporation in Plymouth as a bindery operator and wiring assembler retiring in 1975 after 35 years of service. Mildred enjoyed traveling with her family and hosting numerous Christmas gatherings at her home. She is survived by her sister Ethel Eckles and sister-in-law Yvonne Ash. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucile Prieskorn, Edward Ash and brother-in-law George Prieskorn. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Gerald ( Kay ) Prieskorn, Diane Wavrek, Susan ( the late Robert ) Larkins, LuAnn Eckles, Janis ( William ) Krug, Marvin ( Jo Ann ) Ash, William Ash, Joanna ( Jesse ) Moyer and the late George W. Prieskorn and Lenore & Lawrence Kramer. Thirteen great nieces and nephews and eleven great great nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday 11 am with the Reverend Paul Schaefer officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
