Mike Budnick, age 78 of Canton, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on January 20, 2021.
Mike was born on June 29, 1942 in Detroit to his parents, Leonard and Virginia (née Zielasko) Budnick. He is the beloved husband of 57 years to Joyce (née Wall) Budnick; loving father of two children, Michael Budnick and Randy Budnick and proud grandfather of three grandchildren – Brandon (Brandy) Budnick, Kevin Budnick and Marissa Budnick.
Mike was a car enthusiast. He once owned a Custom 1960 Pontiac which he affectionately named, “Fantasia”. He won dozens of awards and “Fantasia” was once featured on the cover of Rod and Custom magazine. He loved the designs and shapes of custom cars from a previous age. The designs were beautiful in his eyes, from the unique bodies to the special paint colors like the one he chose for "Fantasia". These great styles and shapes of the cars he knew from the past may have gone out of style, but to Mike, these cars were not just old cars….they represented the time he had his very own classic car.
