Michael John LaBeau, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the age of 55. Michael is survived by husband, Keith Turczyn, brother Raymond Joseph Labeau, sister, Susan (Don) Lough, nieces, Jacqueline Lough, Rebecca Lough, Stephanie (Matt) Barnett and Samantha LaBeau. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond, his mother, Mary Jo and brother, Christopher.
Michael was born December 13, 1965. He and his husband shared an amazing 19 years together.
Michael was a gentle, loving person and was known for his wicked sense of humor, wonderful sense of style, his creativity and love of family and all animals. Michael lived life to the fullest with the pairing of a perfect martini. He enjoyed traveling with his husband to visit friends, searching for vintage mid-century modern furnishings, attending live theatrical performances and concerts and just being the belle of the ball! He loved fashion, automobiles and vintage clothes and toys.
Michael was a generous, selfless person and thought of others and always put them before himself. When approached by doctors regarding organ donation, Michael immediately agreed to have his lungs donated for research.
Michael will be missed by all of his family and all of his denoted friends.
Services will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Friends may gather from 1:00 P.M. until the start of the Memorial Service at 6:30 P.M. A Celebration of Life party for Michael will be held at a later date.
As of November 18, 2020, we are permitted to have no more than 25 people in attendance for visitations and funerals. Please be advised that in observance of the Governmental Order from the State of Michigan and the current COVID-19 situation, when in attendance at the memorial gathering and memorial service, we kindly ask for the safety and well-being of the families we serve, and for your health, that everyone practice social distancing and consideration for other guests in attendance. Masks are mandatory. Please refrain from handshaking and embracing family members and one another.
For those who cannot attend and wish to view the Memorial Service in a safe environment, the service will be live streamed.
