Michael James Plas

Michael James Plas of Westland, passed away December 22, 2016, at the age of 61. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 26, 1955 to the late Harvey and Alice (nee Donahue) Plas.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Alice, his dear siblings, Nancy (Terry) O’Neill, James (Dawn) Plas, and Andrew Plas, his brother-in-law, Allen Landers and, many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey and his siblings, Jill Landers and John Plas.

Michael retired after 31 years at Ford Motor Company. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed activities for all the seasons Michigan offered. Michael loved golfing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and canoeing. He enjoyed taking daily walks around the neighborhood. Michael also had a love for the Ford Mustang. He was a dog lover - especially Black Labradors. Michael was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Michael will begin Tuesday, December 27, from 4-7pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main, Plymouth, 48170.

His Funeral Service will be Tuesday, beginning at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Asssociation, National Breast Cancer, or Multiple Sclerosis. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
