Melissa Quarrels (31) of Allen Park, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on January 23, 2022. Melissa was the beloved wife of Dekenton “Ken” Quarrels; loving mother of Brooklynn, Evelyn, Kennedy, Kayden and Kensly. She was the beloved daughter of Gary and Cindy Sadek and also Mary Navarrette; in laws, Sharon Couch, Derek Couch Sr., Grandmother Lucinda Jemison; sister to Eric(Theresa)Sadek, Tara Muzzin, Brandon Sadek, Catelyn Josephson, Shannon Shields, and Kimberly Navarrette Bautista, in laws; Larisa(Kejon)James, Derek, Brittany and Sharronda. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends. Melissa was a graduate of Plymouth-Canton High School. At the time of her death, Melissa was manager for Seven-Eleven Melvindale convenience store.
Melissa was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She will always hold a special place in everyone’s heart that knew her. Melissa loved being a mom, and her children were her greatest joy. She anticipated each milestone in their life and celebrated each achievement. Melissa lived for those endless hugs and kisses, and she meant the world to each of her children. She also loved holidays and birthdays, especially Christmas and made each holiday special contemplating and giving gifts that were truly individualized to ones likes and needs. Her enthusiasm and excitement will truly be missed on those special days for years to come.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Prayer service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 2, 2022. In state at church 10:00A.M., until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N.
