Mary A. Case

Passed away at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the age of 90. Mary, known by her nickname " Aggie " was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of John J. and Julia A. ( Scanlan ) O'Connell on February 5, 1923. Her early years were spent in Iowa where she graduated from the Cedar Rapids High School and also from Mt. Mercy College. Aggie has resided in the Plymouth area since 1959. She was an avid reader and movie fan and enjoyed having " a cup of tea " with her homemade soda bread. Cooking and sewing, but most of all, her family were the joys of her life. Aggie is survived by her children Catherine ( Al ) Druskin, Constance, Michele ( Gordon ) Kisabeth, Michael T. ( Jody ), John ( Barbara ) and Kenneth ( Betty ) She was a loving grandmother to Brian, Suzanne, Julia, Michele, Angela, Lisa, Robert, Justin, Martha, Michelle, Abigail, Joseph, Andrew, Samuel and Katherine. Also survived by seventeen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 4 pm until 9 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road ( at Beck Road ) Plymouth. Later she will be laid to rest in her home town of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Contributions are suggested to the St. Vincent dePaul Society or Angela Hospice of Livonia.
