Marjorie M. Scarpulla

October 18, 1922 — June 5, 2011

" Marge" left our world on June 5, 2011. She was born in Detroit, to Herbert and Rachel Knowles on October 18, 1922. Margie attended Plymouth High School and graduated in 1940. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph (Joe) Scarpulla on May 13, 1944, while he was in service in the United States Army Air Corps. Margie worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over twenty years while raising two children. After she and Joe retired, they moved to Incline Village, Nevada, and become quite active in the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Classic Thunderbird Club where she held several officer positions. She was very artistic and loved to oil paint. Several of her paintings can be found in homes, banks and wineries. She has been described as a very sweet, kind, hard working and trusted friend who will be missed by many. Marjorie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe, and is survived by her daughter, Susan (Sue) Knapp; son, Joel (Terri) Scarpulla both of Reno, Nevada; a host of nephews, a niece and their families, along with cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, on Friday from 3pm until 7pm. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11am with Rev. Drex Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
