Marion Wagner

Marion Wagner, 97, a resident of Northridge Pines passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2014. She was born on August 7, 1916 to Charles and Emily (Granath) Erickson in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Lakeview High School in Chicago graduating in 1934.In April 1941 she was married to Frederick Wagner who preceded her in ­­­­death in May 1967. Marion worked as an executive secretary at the Sears Corporation in Chicago for many years. In 1957 she moved with her family to Plymouth, Michigan. After the death of her husband Marion worked for the Schoolcraft Community College Bookstore for 20 years. Marion loved to do crossword puzzles and was a life long pianist playing up until the time of her death. She loved her rock and roll music from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Most importantly she was the pillar of her family and was always there to give her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren a boost. Surviving are her children Marianne Kaemerer of Eagle River, Alaska, Michael (Karen) Wagner of Calumet, Michigan and Daniel (Catherine) Wagner of Eagle River, Alaska. Grandchildren, Fred (Kelly) Kaemerer of Colorado, Melissa (Christopher) Werner of California and Lisa (Tim) Patterson of Alaska. Great Grandchildren Madison and Nicholas of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her brother Harry Erickson. Visitation will be held on Friday February 14, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet. A prayer service will be in the funeral home on Friday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Laura Eaton to officiate. Additional visitation will take place at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St. Plymouth, Wednesday 11am until service at 1pm. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
