Marion Mavelle Dunaitis, age 100 of Plymouth, passed away on April 15, 2023. Marion was born in Toronto, Canada on September 27, 1922 to her parents, the late Mary Arabella (née Briggs) and Harold Delano.
She is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Donald L. Green and her second husband William Dunaitis; loving mother of Judith L. Green, Margaret (Peter) Maniez, Averil (the late James) Penn, Paul Kevin (Margo) Green, Randy (Thelma) Dunaitis and Linda (Dennis) Shrewsberry; proud grandmother of Aubree Breneman, Kevin (Stacey) Penn, Matthew (Mareike) Penn, Peter (Emma) Maniez, Jr., Bridget (Dave) Waldeck and Jeff (Megan) Shrewsberry, , Josh Dunaitis and Ben (Bryne) Dunaitis and great-grandmother of Brandon Merritt, Jack Penn, Willy Penn, Anouk Penn, and Ida Penn. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sister, Evelyn Walters, her godson David (Nancy) Osborne and many special nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her grandsons, Christopher Breneman, Quin Maniez and her sister Gladys Osborne.
Marion lived in the Plymouth community for more than 70 years and was an active member at Plymouth First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed membership in the Garden City Community Club.
Marion loved her family to the moon and back. Her family says it was her number one priority in life. Her close family connections were a source of fulfillment, comfort and most of all, love. She never missed sending a greeting card to family and friends whether it was a birthday, holiday or any other occasion. Always with a note, her greeting cards to everyone would always let them know they were loved and in her thoughts.
She enjoyed her hobby of cross-stitching. It was a relaxing hobby, and at the end of each project, she created a beautiful piece of artwork.
Family and friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the Eastern Star Service beginning at 6:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Monday, April 24, 2023 beginning at 11:00 A.M.
Marion will be laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Michigan.
