Marion Thomas Chaney, Jr

Marion Thomas Chaney, Jr., age 82, passed away March 11, 2023.  Marion was born on September 19, 1940  in Ecorse, Michigan to his late parents, the late Mary (née Nightingale) and Marion Thomas Chaney, Sr.

Marion is the beloved and devoted husband of sixty years to Elizabeth “Betty” (née Santoro); loving father of three children – Tom (Susan) Chaney, Eric (Carol) Chaney and Kathleen (Christopher) Jimenez; proud grandfather of Chris (Kayla) Chaney, Jordan Chaney, Robert Chaney, John “Jack” Chaney, Michelle Chaney, Ellie Jimenez and Zoe Jimenez; great-grandfather of Sawyer Hurst and Azalea Chaney.  He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings Judy West, Charlie Chaney, Rita Chaney and Mary Chaney.

Marion “Tom” worked at Ford Motor Company for 19 years and later worked as a Manufacturing Manager at General Dynamics.  He later became a Plant Manager at Hayes Albion.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  A Family Sharing Time will be held at the Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 P.M. 

The Funeral Service will be held at Schrader-Howell beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 17^th, 2023.

Marion will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
