Marianne Genevieve McNeil

Marianne G. McNeil, age 68, passed away on October 23, 2022.

She was born on May 18, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Elmer and Genevieve (née Ortiz) Kapp.  Marianne is the beloved and devoted wife of Kevin; loving mother of Matthew (Alycia) Lewis and Nicholas Lewis; step-mother of Megan (John) Branstetter and Matthew (Michelle) McNeil; proud Mimi of Genevieve Lewis, Autumn Lewis, Oliver Lewis, John Henry Branstetter and Ryder Rose McNeil.  She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her siblings, Joe (Elaine) Kapp and Doug (Kathleen) Kapp.  She is pre-deceased by her brother, Dennis Kapp.

The family wishes to express sincere and deep thanks and gratitude to Marianne’s caregivers and special friends, Rachel Louden and Elizabeth Mazure.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Marianne will be in-state on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan beginning at 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marianne G. McNeil in the form of cash or a check made payable to Marilyn Konchel who will distribute the funds for use per the family’s wishes.
