After living 90 amazing years, Marian Ida Owens died peacefully on Saturday, November 19th. Marian was a lifelong Plymouth resident, living within the same four block radius her entire life. She loved the Plymouth community and loved her neighborhood. She was frequently seen sitting on the porch watching, greeting and conversing with the neighbors as they lead their daily lives, and she always participated in the neighborhood block parties. Marian was retired from the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, having worked there for twenty-four years, first at Starkweather Elementary and then at Eriksson Elementary Schools. She was loved by both of those school communities. Marian was also very active at the First United Methodist Church, where she was frequently referred to as the longest serving member of the church. Marian was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, cousin and best friend to many. She was frequently referred to as the glue that held us all together.
