She was known to family and friends as May, but to some nieces as Mabe. May was a very social person with a great sense of humor. She loved the theatre and loved to dance. May was active with a blind bowling league, having met Elmer Kapp there, and later they were married. Along with Elmer, she visited every Major League baseball park in the country. She was a devout Tigers fan. In her younger years, she loved to roller skate and garden. May had many interests, including crossword puzzles, taking pictures and traveling, having traveled around the world. She was also a wine connoisseur. But, above all, she loved being with her family.
