Louise Mary Andes of Plymouth, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at the age of 88. Louise was born in Bloomington, Illinois, to Harry and Mary Gorman. She was the beloved wife of Robert Andes for 65 years. Louise is also survived by her loving children: Robert (Cherie) Andes, Jim (Barb) Andes, Mary (Robert) Donald, Amy (Jason) Lindauer, her grandchildren: Carlye, Jim, Nora, Russ, Katie, Matthew, Margaret, Daniel, and her three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Nadia, and Namir. She was preceded in death by her siblings John Gorman and Edith Harding and her grandson Nicholas Andes. Louise and Robert were married in Chenoa, IL in October of 1950. They began their life together in Detroit, MI eventually moving to Plymouth in 1956. Louise worked for the Plymouth-Canton School District for 26 years as the Allen Elementary School secretary. She always enjoyed being around children, and had an ability to see the good in all of them. She enjoyed travel, having visited all fifty states. Louise also loved entertaining - especially during the holidays when all family and friends were always welcome in her home. She had boundless energy, working two jobs (as Allen Secretary and in the linens department at Sears) for many years. Louise died at home, surrounded by family, shortly after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Visitation will begin Friday, December 18, 2015, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main Street, Plymouth, 48170. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, at 11am at the funeral home. Friends may arrive at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
