Louise E. DuCharme

Passed away at Marywood Nursing Home in Livonia on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the age of 101. Louise was born in Kersey, Pennsylvania the daughter of Peter and Theresa Gornatti. In 1933 she graduated from St. Joseph Nursing College in Detroit. She practiced at doctor's offices both in Detroit and Plymouth. During her years of residing in Plymouth she volunteered at the Plymouth Library and at Our Lady of Good Counsel School. In 1990 her husband Clarence passed away. She is survived by her siblings Isabelle Gornatti and George Gornatti. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Linda D'Amore, Diane Surma, Don Maiolatesi and David Gornatti. Visiation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
