Lorraine A. Dermyre, a devoted secretary for the Air Force Recruiting Office, has peacefully passed away in Brownstown Township, Michigan. Born in Washington, D.C. on October 26, 1936, Lorraine lived a life filled with love, dedication to her work, and a passion for gardening.
Throughout her career at the Air Force Recruiting Office, Lorraine found joy and purpose in her role as a secretary for many years. Her professionalism and warm demeanor left a lasting impact on all those she worked with.
Lorraine is predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, of 59 wonderful years by her side. She also joins her sons, Dave and Howard Dermyre, and granddaughter Shelby Dermyre in eternal peace.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving son Dennis (Karen) Dermyre. She is also survived by her Daughters-In-Law Kim Dermyre and Louanne Dermyre. Lorraine's legacy lives on through her grandchildren Christina (Doug) Orttenburger and Amber Dermyre, as well as her great-grandchild Autumn Orttenburger.
A visitation to honor Lorraine's life will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth, Michigan. The Funeral Service will take place Thursday, June 6th at 11:00 AM at the same location. Finally, Lorraine will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia on June 6th at 12:30 PM.
In loving memory of Lorraine A. Dermyre, may she rest in peace knowing she was cherished by many and will be fondly remembered for years to come.
