Lois Augusta Heilman

Lois Augusta Heilman passed away in her home with her family beside her on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the age of 78. Lois was born in Southfield Township, Michigan on January 12, 1934 the daughter of Rollie W. and Clara R. ( Cooper ) Caskey. She attended Clarenceville High School. It was love at first sight when she met Phillip Heilman at Riverside Arena. They were married on December 24, 1949 sharing 62 years, 357 days together. Lois loved volunteering as a Kindergarten Sabbath School teacher, playing the piano, singing in the church choir, traveling and attending Campmeetings. She was a great cook, her daughter stating " she made the best apple pies. " She is survived by her husband Phillip and their children, Phillip G. Heilman, Randall R. ( Mary Jane ) Heilman, Colleen R. Ebersole, Neil A. Heilman, Anne E. Johnson and daughter-in-law Alecia Walker. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kelly ( Terry ) Peterson, Kristina, Heidi, Lisa, Ryan ( Carrie ), Brock, Phillip, Amy ( Jeremy ) Cox, Sarah, Jessica, Heather, Jacob, great granddaughter Claire and brother Philip ( Patricia ) Caskey. She was preceded in death by siblings Woodrow, Bernice, Louise, David and Paul. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday from 1 pm until 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday 11 am by Pastor James Howard of the Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church Interment will follow at North Farmington Cemetery.
