Linda J. Olson, age 70 of Plymouth passed away on January 22, 2020.
Linda was born on May 8, 1949 in Ypsilanti to her parents, Robert Lynn and Jean (nee Spencer) Wilson. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Chuck. They were married on January 6, 1968 and just celebrated 52 years of marriage. She is the loving mother of two children, Lindsay Olson and Erin Olson; proud grandmother of Delaney Carlson, Hayden Carlson, Grace Carpenter, and Asher Carpenter. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her mother-in-law, Geraldine Olson, brother-in-law, Ted Wickering, sister-in-law, Janet Olson, and her four nieces and nephews, Derek (Beth) Olson, Melissa Olson, Patrick Wickering and Katie (Brett) Grimm. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Vicky Wickering, brother-in-law, Larry Olson and father-in-law, Eddie Olson.
Linda had a lengthy career in the mortgage industry. She worked tirelessly in building relationships with clients and helping them get the best loans possible. She was outgoing and always made her clients feel at ease while they made life changing decisions.
Linda loved maintaining their home in Plymouth. A beautiful home doesn’t just happen. It takes a great time and planning to make a beautiful home a reality. She had a true passion for arts and crafts projects and decorating their home both indoors and outdoors. Holidays and special occasions inspired her decorating style. She had the ability to create a look and transform a room into an amazing living space. Their home was known for its warmth, festivity and wonderful hospitality. She loved to entertain. When it came to cooking and meal preparation, she was an artist. She could mix her ingredients with her imagination and always make a delicious meal. No matter what she prepared, it was always a crowd pleaser.
She especially loved being with her family and enjoying their cottage in the summer at Round Lake in Hartland. She loved being outside with nature, blue skies and golden sunsets. Her love of the outdoors is probably why she loved to play golf too.
Help isn’t always easy, but Linda made it look very easy and was always there with a heart of gold and a smile to anyone in need of her help. She could always seem to find time and make herself available when a family member or friend was in need.
Linda’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew and loved her.
