ZIMELOW, Lillian E. Passed away in Sandusky, Michigan on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the age of 94. Lillian was born in Detroit, the daughter of Rudolph and Eugenia ( nee Rose ) Schroeder. She attended Detroit Public Schools and in 1939 she met Louis C. Zimelow who on May 21, 1941 became her husband. The couple resided in the Birmingham - Beverly Hills area until they moved to Deckerville in 1992. She was a member of the Auxiliary of Children's Hospital of Detroit and was a former member of the Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary, now called the Lutheran Brotherhood. While living in the Birmingham - Beverly Hills area the couple were members of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Birmingham. In 1995 she lost her husband of 54 years and she is survived by her brothers Raymond Wiesner and Charles Schroader. Lillian is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, God-children and friends. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Tuesday from 3 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am which will be conducted by her pastor, the Reverend Leo Thoms of St. John Lutheran Church of Port Sanilac, Michigan. Lillian will be laid to rest beside her husband at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. Contributions are suggested to Children's Hospital of Detroit.
