Leonore Harriet Weigand

Leonore Harriet Weigand passed away July 21, 2016 at the age of 98. She was born February 9, 1918 at the family farm in Sanborn Township, Michigan to Ralph and Albertina (Brilinski) Boboltz. She moved to Detroit at age 16 to work. There she met Harvey and they were married September 16, 1940. They moved to Plymouth in 1954 to raise their family. She was a homemaker, master gardener, great cook, seamstress and the best mom ever.

She is the beloved mother of Donald (Carol) Weigand, Robert (Sherry) Weigand and Laureen (Joseph) Grosse, dear grandmother of Jennifer (Rich) Michalski, Krista (Ryan) Staudacher, Aaron Noone and the late Jeffrey Weigand, step grandmother of Joseph (Janet) Grosse, Michelle Grosse and Michael (Cindy) Grosse and great grandmother of Samantha, Liam, Penelope, Maddox and Sarah. She is also survived by 1 brother Alfred (Anna Mae) Boboltz. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Arthur, Fred, Carl, Leonard, Richard and Clarence and 1 sister Evelyn Parfitt. Leonore is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you to Randy and Jamie for helping to take care of Aunt Leonore for the last few years.

A Funeral Service will take place Monday 12noon, July 25, 2016, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 7000 N. Sheldon Rd., Canton. Visitation will be Sunday from 3pm until 8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth and Monday beginning at 11am at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Leonore’s memory may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church or Angela Hospice.
