LaVerne Dorothy Smith

LaVerne Dorothy Smith age 96 of Plymouth passed away on January 22, 2017. LaVerne was born in Dearborn, Michigan on July 3, 1920 to her parents Walter and Cecilia Kruger. LaVerne is the beloved wife of the late Harold Smith who passed away in 2009. Loving mother of Walter (Charlotte) Smith, Nancy (the late Jim) Carter, and the late Harold Smith. Proud grandmother of Andrew (Diana) Smith, Pamela (Stacy) Pierson, Kelly (Joe) LaTorre, Kari (Larry) Pena, Greg (Heather) Smith, Jacquie (Jason) Danner, and Matthew Carter. Numerous great-grandchildren. Also step-grandchildren Sherry Gray, David (Linda) Gray, Jackie (Bill) King, Jeffrey (Ildiko) Toyra, and Jay (Karen) Toyra.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Saturday, January 28 from 10 AM until 12 Noon. Funeral service will be held Saturday at the funeral home at 11 AM. LaVerne will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan.
