Laurel Young, age 65 of Plymouth, passed away on January 7, 2021. Beloved wife of 34 years to Rick. Loving daughter of Kathleen Hofman and the late D. Peter Hass. Proud grandmother of Frankie Young, Christine Young and Arthur Young. Dear sister of Peter (Catherine) Hass and David (Laura) Hass.
When Laurel was a child, she was introduced to the world of dance and began her lifelong love of ballet. Over time and countless hours of practice and rehearsals, she began to feel ballet as a unique outlet to translate her emotions, thoughts and ideas into her powerful dance movements to her audience.
Years later, Laurel and Rick attended dance performances of all kinds and styles. But because of Laurel's own personal dance experiences, she knew from her seat in the audience, that ballet is the foundation of all other dance forms. It is the most beautiful of dance forms and Laurel could let herself be swept away and see the pure magic and beauty of any style of dance.
Ballet also cultivates a love of classical music. Laurel and Rick appreciated art of all kinds whether it was music, performance, or attending an art gallery. And with that meant a lovely evening of fine dining too. Just like dance, in fine dining, there is precise attention to detail, perfect execution accompanied with exceptional service. Laurel and Rick appreciated the art of fine dining as each tiny detail tied together the entire dining experience.
