Laureen "Laurie" Davis

Laureen (Laurie) Davis passed away on June 2nd, 2023 at the age of 64 in Northville, Michigan. She was born on December 7th, 1958 in Minnetonka, Minnesota to her parents the late Darrel and Joyce Upton. She was married to her loving husband, Art Davis, at First United Methodist Church in Plymouth, Michigan on August 21st, 1982, with whom she shared a beautiful and devoted life until her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Art Davis, her three children, Ryan (Brigid) Davis, Julie (Bobby) Ratekin, and Becky (Derek) Nedo and her four grandchildren, Avery Nedo, McKinley Nedo, Davis Ratekin, and Lincoln Davis. Also surviving are Laurie's Aunt Marlyce (Eddie) Hoium, Cousin Holly (Gary) Meyer, stepbrother Rory (Peggy) Smith, stepsister Tracy (Andy) Lawson and many nieces and nephews. They will all carry on Laurie’s strength, love and legacy for generations.

Laurie was the Office Administrator at Emmanuel Lutheran Church for many years. She dedicated her life to serving her church, community and helping those in need. Laurie embodied the spirit of Emmanuel. Her kind heart and welcoming presence was contagious to everyone she met.

Laurie loved to travel and spend her time with family and friends. Her true passion was family, especially grandchildren. Through story time, lake adventures, family trips, and baking she created memories that will forever live as happy memories in their hearts.  Laurie brought joy and happiness to her family, friends and even strangers.

Laurie will be remembered not only by her family but also by all those whose lives she touched through her kindness and generosity throughout the years. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 2pm to 8pm.

Her Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 30650 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan on Thursday, June 8 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor the memory of Laureen “Laurie” Davis are invited to consider a contribution to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 34567 West Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 or Endometrial Cancer Research in care of the American Cancer Society.
