Lambert served honorably in the Army as a Personnel Clerk processing hundreds of soldiers for Armor Training while at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Following his military service at Fort Knox, Kentucky, he returned to set up his roots in Plymouth, Michigan with his wife, Arlene.
Life for Bert included frequently camping across the country with family, supporting his children with the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps and, he later pursued the thrill of motorcycling during his retirement years. Lambert’s passion for travel and exploration was evident in his ambitious goal to visit every State in the United States and several destination trips with the love of his life, Arlene to Hawaii, Alaska and Italy.
As we remember Lambert, we honor not only his life, but also his strong faith, love and the positive outlook he shared with everyone he encountered. His Catholic faith served as a cornerstone providing him with solace and guidance throughout his spiritual journey. Lambert found great joy and comfort in his parish community at Resurrection Church in Canton.
An avid lover of music, Lambert frequented concerts finding joy in the rhythms and melodies from jazz, big band and country music. He was always eager to spend quality time with his family and loved ones and building cherished memories that will be treasured by those who survive him.
