Keriana Nichole Garcia

Keriana Nichole Garcia, age 52 of Milford, Michigan passed away on March 26, 2025 after five year battle with cancer.

She was born in Flint, Michigan to her parents, Kathleen (Tom) Mendrek and the late David Edgar; She is the beloved and devoted wife of Scott Garcia; loving mother of two children – Dylan and Jayden. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her siblings Kelsey (Matt) Mixter, Tyler (Danielle) Mendrek and Kalie Mendrek.

Keri enjoyed her life as a loving wife and mother and was a very active volunteer where her children attended school in the Hartland School District. She was very involved with PTO, Soccer and Gymnastics. She liked to be active in the community and engaged into any and all school functions.

When it was time to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, Keri’s thoughts turned to her “happy place” - the ocean and the beach. It was her favorite place to disconnect and enjoy a beautiful serene place. It was the vastness and beauty of the ocean, its sounds, the smell of the fresh breezes and the sand beneath her feet that made her calm and content and provided that sense of peace and tranquility.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Susan G. Komen breast cancer fund.
