Kathy Ellen Calise

Kathy Ellen Calise, age 74 of Novi passed away on January 1, 2022. She was born in Warwick, Rhode Island on March 11, 1947 to the late Arthur and Winifred (Barry) Richard. She grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island where she attended St. James Parochial School and John F. Deering High School, graduating in 1964.

Kathy began her career at the Old Colony Bank in West Warwick. She then worked at the Warwick Mall for over twenty years where she thoroughly enjoyed making friends and interacting with customers while she was employed at the Hallmark Card and Party shop and the Fruit and Nut Factory. Kathy relocated to Largo, Florida in 2003 where she was employed by Sabal Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center in Largo, FL for fifteen years.

Upon her retirement, Kathy moved to Novi to be closer to her grandchildren whom she adored immensely. Kathy was the loving and devoted mother of two children - daughter, Julie Bruce and her husband, Bryan, and son, Kristian Calise (NPPD, RICPD) and his wife, Michelle. She was the proud grandmother of Nicholas Feroce, Samuel Calise, Aidan Bruce, Isabella Calise and Olivia Bruce. Kathy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sister, Janice Dube, her nieces, Michelle Dube, Melissa (Dube) LeBlanc, Melanie (Dube) Moore and nephew, Michael Dube.

A funeral mass and burial service will be held in Rhode Island where she will be surrounded by her hometown family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation in Kathy's memory to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
