Kathleen H. Koenig

Kathleen H. Koenig of Canton, and formerly of St. Louis, passed away November 16, 2017 at the age of 70. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Ruth (nee Sommer) Garver. Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years John Koenig, her two loving children Matt (Geison) and Jim (Karol), her precious grandchildren Haley, Jimmy, and Luke, and her dear siblings Sandy, James, and Mark.

Kathleen was a woman of many great talents. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, especially quilting and crocheting. Kathleen also taught herself to play the piano and had a beautiful singing voice. Kathleen was a longtime member at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was very active. She liked to take trips to national parks with the family and she also was a fan of roller coasters. Her family was everything to her. She wanted to be a mother more than anything in the world and felt so blessed to have two loving boys. When her family grew with grandchildren, they became her life. She loved her family whole-heartedly and will be truly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, from 1p-2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7575 Hix Road, Westland, Michigan. The Funeral Service will be Saturday following the visitation beginning at 2pm.
