Katherine Crowel

Katherine Ann Crowel passed away on February 28, 2025 at the age of 78. She was born on December 12, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lawrence and Frieda Schmit.

She is the beloved and devoted mother of two children – Morgan Stidwill and Amy (Timothy) McKenna; proud grandmother of Alison Stidwill, Mason Stidwill, Charlotte McKenna, and Sylvia McKenna. She is also survived by the father of her children and former spouse Kenneth Stidwill and former spouse Thomas Crowel.

Katherine is predeceased by her sisters Joyce (Robert) Meek and Virginia (David) Pixley.

She was a graduate of Cooley High School and Wayne State University with a degree in Interior Design. She raised her children in Plymouth, Michigan and went on to own a home décor shop in Indiana. In her final year, she moved to Massachusetts to be closer to her daughter.

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 P.M.
