Karen Laney Dingeldey passed away September 30, 2014 at the age of 75. She was born April 3, 1939 in Plymouth to Robert O. and Lelia M. (Burgin) Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip in 2011. Karen is the beloved mother of Jeff (Amy) McIntosh, Dennis (Judy) Dingeldey, Lori (Dan) Mayer and Kevin (Emily) Dingeldey, dear grandmother of Melissa, John, Jessica(Jessie), Danny, Joshua, Kayla, McKinna and Benjamin and great grandmother of Everett. She is the dear sister of Dwight (Bonnie) Stevenson, Norma (the late Walter) Stobbe, Marilyn (Harold) Hester and the late Dollie Gotro, Ray Stevenson, William Stevenson, Robert Stevenson and Alfred Stevenson. Karen was a homemaker and also worked at a daycare in Plymouth. She was born at the family home in Plymouth and lived most of her life in Plymouth. Karen loved to walk and bike ride and roller skate. Also, she was very adventurous and not afraid to try anything as she went water skiing on Lake Michigan and drove a snowmobile. Karen loved children and especially loved spending time with her family. Funeral Service Friday, October 3, 2014, 1:30pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth. Friends may visit Thursday 4pm until 8pm. Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Livonia. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or St. Joseph Mercy Hospice.
