Joyce Carol Simmons, age 82 of Livonia, has passed away on October 6, 2020.
Joyce was born on November 9, 1937 in Detroit to her parents, Ernest and Myrtle (née Coons) Bechard. Joyce is the beloved and devoted wife of David Simmons for the past sixty years. She is the loving mother of David Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Robert Simmons, Katherine (James) Smith, and Carolyn (Michael) Wills; proud grandmother of Kenneth (Kimberly), Ashleigh, Melissa, Danielle (Josh), James, Olivia, Matthew, Heather (Joel), Rebecca, Jennilee, Joshuah and Jessalyn and great-grandmother of Landon, Reese, Kennedy, Adylene, Beckett and Lainey.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Plymouth Church of Christ, 9301 North Sheldon Road, Plymouth at 11:00 a.m. Joyce will be in-state at the Church at 10:00 A.M. for additional visitation until the time of the Funeral Service. Joyce will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joyce C. Simmons to Alzheimer’s Association, P. O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Contribution envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
For those who cannot attend and wish to view the Funeral Service in a safe environment, the funeral will be live streamed.

As of October 6, 2020, we are permitted to increase the amount of people allowed for visitations and funerals. We still ask that visitors use social distance guidelines and please wear a face mask.
