Joseph V. Bailey

Joseph Victor Bailey of Westland, died November 5, 2018. He was 79 years old. Joe was born in Ann Arbor on November 11, 1938. Joe is the beloved husband of the late Verna Bailey who died in 2017. Both Verna and Joseph had shared a very close friendship for many years and were married in 2001.Joe is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Jean (Ray) Ryan, Loranne Moore, Tim (Beth) Bailey and Norman (Anne) McGarry. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marion Bailey, and his six siblings: Joan, Robert, Josephine, Ted, Tom, and Beth.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army. He went on to be an iron worker for General Motors. Joe also was an avid reader. He enjoyed spending time in the Upper Peninsula and winters in Florida where he enjoyed scuba diving. Joe was a proud and caring man who was very intelligent. He will be deeply missed by many.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 10, from 11am-2pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. The Funeral Service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home.
