Joseph Joe F. Bielaska, a resident of Plymouth, MI for the past 45 years passed away quietly in his home with his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Jane Bielaska, by his side. Joe was 81 years old when he died on November 11, 2015. Joe is finally at peace and what a better day to enter the gates of heaven then on Veterans Day. Joe proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. Joe will continue to honor and serve from the gates of heaven. Joe was born on April 13, 1934 in New Britain, Connecticut. He graduated from St. Bernards Seminary and College in Rochester, New York in 1955. Joe joined the U.S. Navy and after flight school was assigned to U.S. Navy Patrol Squadron 8 based in Rhode Island. After an honorable discharge in 1960, Joe joined the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Detroit, eventually settling in Plymouth, MI where he raised his loving family since1970. Joe meet his lifetime companion and best friend, Mary Jane Bielaska in New Britain, Connecticut in 1956 and were married shortly afterwards. Joe and Mary Jane raised three children who are all married and will miss their father very much. Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Bielaska, of Canton, MI, his brother and sister-in-law Walter and Mary Lou Bielaska of Uncasville, Connecticut, his sister and brother-in-law Cathy and Nick Sencio of Plainville, Connecticut. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Tammy Bielaska of Dana Point, California and daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe Celentano of Mission Viejo, California, and son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Stacy Bielaska of Canton, MI. Joe is also survived by five granddaughters, Gabrielle and Lauren Bielaska, Meghan, Alexandra and Elizabeth Celentano, along with two step-granddaughters, Lauren Bues, and Lauren Gladney. Joe is also survived and was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Camden, Corryn, and Cali Carter. Joe is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Jane Bielaska, brother, Edward Bielaska and Goddaughter, Lori Ann Lundeberg. Services will be held on Monday, November 16th at 10:30am at St. Kenneth Catholic Church 14951 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth with visitation beginning at 10:00am until time of mass. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth on Sunday, November 15th from 2:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary service at 7:00pm. Interment Tuesday, November 17th, 9:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
