John “Jack” Hanratty, age 84 of Plymouth, passed away on May 16, 2019. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 12, 1934 to parents Felix & Helena Hanratty. A 1952 graduate of Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation Jack would attend The Ohio State University before transferring to Cleveland State University where he would earn his Bachelor’s Degree. He later earned his MBA from Lake Erie College. Jack’s career spanned many decades with General Motors Company serving as a manager. Post retirement meant Jack was able to give back to his community by working in the Detroit Metro serving as a substitute teacher.
On June 7, 1975 Jack would marry the love of this life Linda Roberts and together they were blessed with a loving son John (Mollie) Hanratty. Proud grandfather of Alanie Kay Hanratty. Dear brother of Tom Hanratty and preceded in death by siblings: Jim Hanratty, Bill Hanratty, Jerry Hanratty and Eileen Bachnicki.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church 133 Orchard Drive, Northville. Visitation will begin at 9:30am until time of mass.
Visitation Wednesday, May 22nd from 4:00pm-9:00m at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St, Plymouth. Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
