Age 90, of Plymouth, passed away on March 31, 2011.Born to parents Bruce and Louisa Cumming in Detroit on June 14, 1920. Served in the United States Navy during WWII. Founded John J. Cumming Plumbing in 1958 and is now being carried on by his son John F. Cumming. Married his love of his life Laura Tews and were together for over 69 years until her passing in October of 2010. Beloved father of Louise (James) LeCourt, Donna Cumming and John (Dianne) Cumming. Proud grandfather of Emily, Jamie, Steven, Lecia, Amy, James and Melinda. Great grandfather of 12.
John was a proud member of the Plymouth Lions Club, the Plymouth Rock Lodge # 47 and the Plymouth Elks Lodge 1780. John loved to golf, he played regularly until 2006.
Funeral service Monday, 1:00pm from the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth. Visitation Sunday 1-9pm. Interment Parkview Memorial. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart.
