John F. Darga

John F. Darga passed away June 26, 2012 at the age of 83. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 59 years Doris Marie. He is the beloved father of Virgil A. Darga, James R.(Patricia)Darga and Darlene(Gino)Marchetti. Dearest grandfather of Nicholas Darga, Melisa Darga, Benjamin(Karri)Darga, Elizabeth Darga, Dominic Marchetti and Gianna Marchetti. John meet his bride to be, Doris Marie, at a Polish Dance Hall. They were married in 1953 when John returned from Korea. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He was a sharpshooter defending air bases in Seoul, Korea. John retired from Ford Motor Company in January, 1999 where he worked with prototypes. He was a resident of Plymouth for the last 18 years. John loved to fish and at one time was a championship bowler at St. Stanislaus on the east side. He also loved to take walks. Friends may at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, Friday, June 29, 2012, from 2PM until 9PM. Funeral Services will be Private. Burial and Military Honors will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Livonia.
