Mandy Hillard age 76 of Canton passed away on October 15, 2024. She was born February 26, 1948 in Utica, N.Y. to Douglas and Patricia Buckley Talcott. Mandy, as everyone knew her, lived in central N.Y. in her younger years.
Mandy graduated from Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. She received her BSN from Eastern Michigan University in 1987. She was a RN for 47 years, a profession she truly loved.
She married Raymond J. Hillard on May 1, 1982 in Dearborn, Michigan. They moved to Illinois in 1986. Ray and Mandy had one son, their pride and joy, in 1988.
Mandy leaves behind her son Robert D. (Hannah) Hillard, her nieces Stacey (Chris) Madore and their children Madelyn and Jack. and Kimberly (Chad) Keith and their children, Nora, Finley and Esther. brother-in-law Tony Nederhand. Uncle Jerry Buckley. Mandy also leaves behind Ray’s brother Randy (Carol), sisters Debbie and Robyn (Terry). Nieces Molly (Andrew) children Jack and Danny, Megan, and Taylor. Nephews Nick (Emily), Tim (Becca) and Gregory (Nicole). She also leaves behind many wonderful friends.
Mandy is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, in-laws Robert and Marjorie Hillard, her sister Christine Nederhand, aunt Joan Buckley, her nephew Kees Nederhand.
Friends may visit the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 A.M.
Those who wish to honor the memory of Mandy Hillard are invited to consider a contribution to First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth. Her son knew her second home and friends were at this church and she would want nothing more than to help them.
Contribution envelopes will be available at the Church.
