Jean Marie Brown of Livonia passed away July 5, 2019. She was 81 years old. Jean was born in River Rouge, Michigan on February 4, 1938 to Lawrence and Stella Fobar. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Brown who died in 2014. They were together in marriage for 61 years. Jean is survived by her five loving children, Donald (Carol) Brown, Daniel (Barbara) Brown, Lori (Douglas) Dziuba, Jane Brown, Teri (Leo) Lanigan. Loving grandmother to Emily Brown, Joshua Brown, Alexander Brown, Matthew Brown, Rachel Dziuba, Sarah (Sean) Smith, Ansley Nickell, Lindsay Lanigan, Casey Lanigan Raynah Lanigan and great-grandmother to Aliva Buckner, Chasen Salomonson, and Claire Smith. Dearest sister of Joan Glunt and Frank Fobar.
She is also the dearest aunt of many adoring and loving nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by both of her parents and two of her siblings, Wayne Fobar and Carol McCarthy. Jean was a thirty year survivor of Breast Cancer.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 10th at 12:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth 48170. Family and friends may begin visiting the Church at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean’s name to the American Cancer Society.
