Jean Logan O'Hara

October 3, 1933 — August 26, 2016

Born in Saginaw, MI, in 1933, Jean (Logan) O’Hara attended St. Mary’s schools in Saginaw and graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Economics in 1956. She married Pat O’Hara in 1957 and together they raised four children in North Rosedale Park, Detroit. Jean worked for Michigan Bell in labor relations, and was later a bookkeeper for St. Mary of Redford schools until her retirement.
An avid reader and learner her whole life, Jean traveled widely with her husband and later with friends throughout Europe and North America. She had a special fondness for Grand Traverse Bay in northern Michigan, as well.
In retirement, she was active as a school volunteer, church wedding coordinator, choir member, altar society member and Eucharistic minister. She taught her children the importance of being a good friend and cherished her lifelong friendships with classmates from Saginaw and MSU, the Knit Wits from Rosedale Park, and all of her Plymouth friends including her walking pals, the Street Walkers.
She will be forever loved and missed by her children Tim (Pilar), Ellen (Mark) Sabor, Tom, and Ann (Bob) Wagner, as well as her grandchildren Paul and Pilar O’Hara, Colin and Liam Sabor, and Jane, Sam and Molly Wagner. Also survived and loved by her sister Ann (Tom) Osberger and sister in law Carol (Paul) Schierl, a niece and five nephews.
