Jane Bell

Jane Bell, age 95 of Canton passed away on October 22, 2023.  Jane was born on January 1, 1928  in Beccaria, Pennsylvania to her parents, the late Bertha Ellen (née Wild) and Archibald T. Marshall.  She is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Marlin Watson and Frank Bell.  She is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Watson.  She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her numerous friends and all those whose life was touched by hers.

All who knew Jane also knew she loved the Detroit Tigers.  To say that Jane was a devoted fan of her beloved Tigers was clearly an understatement.  Anyone who knew Jane, also knew she ate, slept, lived and breathed the Detroit Tigers!  She called herself “a groupie”. She was a season ticket holder for over 30 years.  Jane traveled all over the country to attend Tiger games.  She knew every player’s name and their stats.   Nothing can bring people together in the same way as attending a sporting event.  Over the years, Jane made numerous friends.  Regardless of what anyone is thinking about outside of the friendly confines of the baseball field, Jane was her happiest in life knowing in her heart she was with others who also shared her same love of her Detroit Tigers.

Friends may visit St. Mary Catholic Church, 34530 West Michigan Avenue, Wayne, Michigan on Saturday, October 28, 2023 beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M.  Jane will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
