James Michael Moco passed away at his home with his family beside him on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the age of 77. Jim was born in River Rouge, Michigan, the son of John P. and Luella M. ( Cicotte ) Moco. He graduated from River Rouge High School in 1955, then went to work for General Motors at the Tech Center until 1957 when he enlisted in the United States Army. He served four years in the service including a period of overseas duty in Germany. After his enlistment was over, he went back to General Motors, but in 1964, he began a new career as a freight agent for the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Jim retired from the railroad in 1988. He enjoyed sports, especially the Red Wings, Tigers and Lions and, was a Cub Scout pack leader for seven years. The family also enjoyed camping in northern Michigan. Jim is the beloved husband of Joan and dear father of Barbara Bidwell, James ( Jean ) Moco Jr., John, Thomas and Robert Moco and Kathleen ( Richard ) Dryja. He is the dear grandfather of Ted ( Katie ) Moco, Michael Bidwell, Kimberly ( Brian ) Thompson, Thomas Moco, Jr., Scott Bidwell, James Moco, Timothy Bidwell, Jessica Moco, Kevin Pino, Victoria, Alexandra and Gabriella Dryja, and great grandfather of Allison and Samantha Moco, Zachary Thompson and Kaleb Clewis. Jim is the dear brother of William ( Barbara ) Moco. He was preceded in death by brothers Edward Moco and Robert Moco. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial Rd., Plymouth from 10am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30am.
