James M. Morphew

Passed away suddenly, Monday, August 30, 2010, at the age of 53. He was a resident of Farmington, formerly of Pinckney and Canton. He is the beloved husband of Cindy. Dear father of Laura Smathers, Jennifer Counihan and Joe Morphew. Dear brother of Richard, Charles and Mary. Dearest grandfather "Papa" to Chelsea and Haley Smathers. Jim was a well respected businessman, having owned LaMoore Photography in Livonia for over 32 years. He was a member of Professional Photographers of America. Jim was a passionate lover of family as well as photography, travel and sports. He was a "sports nut" He loved to play any kind of sport, including softball and ping pong. He was also a long distance runner, having run in marathons. He also played the drums. Funeral Services will take place Friday, September 3, 2010, 1pm at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 42690 Cherry Hill Rd., Canton. Friends may visit Friday, at church, beginning at 9am until time of service. Burial will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
