Passed away in Tucson, Arizona on February 26, 2014 at the age of 86. Jack was born in Detroit on November 1, 1927. He graduated from Cody High School in Detroit then entered the Army serving in World War II. After his Army service he went to work for Detroit Edison working as a lineman then later as a sub-station supervisor. He retired from Edison in 1990. Jack enjoyed woodworking and playing golf with his league from Detroit Edison. He was a member of the Plymouth Elks and Ward Presbyterian Church. After his retirement he and his wife Beverly enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona and summers back in Michigan. Jack lost his his beloved first wife Beverly in 1995 and is survived by his wife Mary. Also surviving are his sons Greg ( Vickie ) McDonald and James ( Amy ) McDonald; his grandchildren Chad ( Michelle ) McDonald, Shaun McDonald, Kristy McDonald, Adam McDonald, Jessica McDonald and Casey ( Chad ) Johnson. Seven great grandchildren, Chad, Drew, Jack, Nathaniel, Seria, Lexi and Lily also survive. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 2 pm until time of the memorial service at 4 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 south Main Street, Plymouth.
