Irina Khaikin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker, passed away at the age of 79 on April 10, 2024, in Livonia, Michigan. She was born on September 3, 1944, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Irina's kind and nurturing nature touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In her role as a homemaker, Irina dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving environment for her late husband Vladimir Khaikin and their two sons. Her compassionate spirit and selfless acts of care will forever be remembered by those she leaves behind.
Irina will be deeply missed by her sons Yakov (Maria) Khaikin and Larry (Irina) Khaykin. She also was a cherished grandmother to Dmitri (Lilit) Khaikin, Elana (Daniel Cook) Khaykin, and Valerie Khaykin. Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Landon Cook, Leighton Cook, Jacob Khaikin, Ariel Khaikin. Among those mourning Irina's loss is her sister Karina (Viktor) Pritulyuk-Sagal.
In addition to her husband Vladimir, she is preceded in death by her mother Tamara Pritulyuk-Sagal.
Irina Khaikin's life was one of love, generosity, and devotion to her family. Her strength and kindness will be remembered by all those who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly loved and will long be remembered.
The family will hold a graveside service for Irina Khaikin at Arborcrest Memorial Park, 2821 Glazier Way, Ann Arbor, Michigan on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11AM.
