Ida "Mickey" A. McKinney

Ida A. McKinney, also known as Mickey, passed away September 29, 2022 in Westland, Michigan.  Ida was born May 19, 1932 to Dilbert Herman Cordes and Ida (née Shread) in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Ida and her late husband, Keith Alton McKinney, had three children.  Keith (Rebekah) McKinney, Wayne (Delores) McKinney and the late Deborah A. McKinney.  The family grew with the addition of two grandchildren, Courtney (Taylor) Jeffers and Karah McKinney and a great granddaughter, Isla Jeffers.

Ida (and longtime companion Don Rucinski) enjoyed being with her family along with their many friends.  Gardening also brought enjoyment to her life as well as being kind to all animals ... especially cats. 

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, October 15, 2022 for a gathering from 2p to 5p.  A Service of Remembrance will be at 5p.

Those wishing to honor Ida’s memory can be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
