Hubert S. Pollino passed away at Four Seasons Nursing Home in Westland, on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the age of 89. He was born in Detroit, the son of Samuel and Celia (Stackpole) Pollino. His early years were spent in Detroit, and he graduated from Redford High School. During World War II, Hubert served with the United States Army in India. He worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors, Goebbel Brewery, and retired from Stroh's Brewery. He lost his late wife, Dorothy, in 1982, and is survived by his children, Larry (Carol) Pollino and Linda (Ed) LaFleur. Hubert is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeff (Kristen) LaFleur, Lori (David Salamas) LaFleur, Nick (Niki) Pollino and Clint Pollino. Services were private.
