Holden Maxfield Tchorzynski

June 30, 2009 — December 17, 2024

Holden Maxfield Tchorzynski, age 15 of Plymouth, a bright and inquisitive young soul, was born on June 30, 2009, in Superior Township, Michigan. He passed away on December 17, 2024, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Holden’s passion for knowledge shone brightly throughout his life. As a sophomore at Plymouth Salem High School, he displayed an intense curiosity in various subjects, particularly electronics, robotics, geology, archaeology, and a deep appreciation for World War II history. He especially loved aviation history and World War II aircraft. Holden could identify any vintage aircraft just by looking at the tail or wings. Holden never met a rock he didn’t like and collected them wherever he went. His interests not only highlighted his intelligence but also reflected his desire to learn and explore the world around him.

Holden was very inventive, designing many original inventions and scientific theories in his short lifetime. He loved problem solving, inventing theories for how ebola, cancer and COVID could be cured. He knew all of the staff at Radio Shack by name and would often visit to see their many drawers of resistors, switches, solar panels, bread boards and other electronic components. He often had to be picked up to be able to see what the drawers contained, picking out just the right part needed for his most current robot or invention. Unfortunately, Radio Shack closed before Holden became a teenager when he would have been able to review the contents of the drawers on his own. Luckily, he discovered Micro Center, where he insisted his parents drive him frequently to obtain the necessary electronic components.

Holden especially loved trips to the Upper Peninsula, excursions to Rockport State Park, visits to the west side of the state and hunting with his Grandpa Harless. Holden was incredibly proud of taking his first deer at the age of 13, along with his grandfather bagging a deer on that same hunt in the Thumb. Holden loved fishing and would fish with his father on the east side of the state, at Murray’s Lake and wherever the opportunity arose. Holden also enjoyed bee keeping with his grandfather and could tell you anything about the biology and habits of Apis mellifera.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Mark Tchorzynski and Wendy Harless, who cherished every moment spent with their son. His spirit will also be lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Winfred Harless, Richard and Gloria Tchorzynski, as well as his uncle, Paul (Laura Wheeler) Tchorzynski, and aunts, Laura (David) Judge, Stacy (David Cusack) Tchorzynski, and Alissa (Brad) Barton. Holden’s cousins, Abigail Rose Tchorzynski, Emerson Flynn Judge, Alexander Barton, Meagan Barton, and his second cousins, Ember Barton and Corridon Hankins, will all carry fond memories of the joyful times shared with him. Holden leaves behind many cherished friends who he enjoyed online gaming with and meeting for special local outings.

Holden is preceded in death by his grandmother, Pamela Harless, whose legacy of love and guidance will remain with his family.
