Hildegard Ruth Lawton

Hildegard Ruth Lawton passed away on March 30, 2024, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late James M. Lawton, who shared many beautiful years by her side. 

Born on August 21, 1931 in Bremen, Germany, Hildegard was a woman of grace and strength. She was known for her warmth and kindness that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Hildegard was a devoted mother to her sons James (Jeanne) and Robert (Ellen), who will long remember her love and guidance.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Michael (Rylie) Lawton, Michelle (Adam) Mullen, Stephen Lawton, as well as her great-grandchildren Alice Mullen and Margo Mullen. Hildegard's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent with them.

In remembrance of Hildegard, we also honor the memory of her husband James and parents Leonard and Erna Behnke, who are now reunited with her.

Hildegard Ruth Lawton's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and all those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave during her lifetime.
