Herman B. Orr, Jr., age 92 of Westland passed away on July 8, 2020.
Herman was born on September 2, 1927 in Winburg, Tennessee to his parents, Herman B. and Cordia (née Jackson) Orr. He was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Grace Orr and is also predeceased by his two sisters.
Some time after Grace passed away, Herman met Dorothy McAninch. Together they formed a close and special relationship. They shared their life experiences and memories over many conversations and cherished the companionship that developed over time until her death. Dorothy’s family also became very fond of Herman over the years and adopted him as one of their own. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by them.
Herman proudly served his country during Korean Conflict in the United States Army.
A private service will be held at the funeral home. Herman will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth next to his beloved wife, Grace.
